ChatGPT generated 3x3x3 solution method

Ugh, haven't touched a cube in years :(

Used cube-solver.com on my phone, took 1:53

Not interested in CrapGPT, I'm only here because I saw Chris.

Stefan!

It makes me happy that I was able to still rope you in on a surprise challenge!

I’m happy to see all the OG cubers from the early days of this forum in this thread!

I do have one thing I have to brag about now that Stefan Pochmann has posted, and that is that I am very proud of my 2nd place trophy in the Stefan Pochmann event at US Nationals 2008.

To those who weren’t around in the time of Tyson Mao major tournaments, anytime Stefan Pochmann attended a major tournament in the US, there would always be some kind of shenanigans like this going on from the organization team! 😆

Thanks for that memory, Chris.

I'm trying to remember. Did Stefan come third in the Stefan Pochmann event, or did he simply not place? I think I remember someone else won first - do you remember who it was?

Not to worry, though - Stefan did win clock and megaminx at that competition! I just think I remember he wasn't chosen the best Stefan Pochmann there.

I also remember Stefan Pochmann as coming in 3rd place, but Stefan do you remember and can confirm? I don’t remember who won first, maybe Bob Burton?

Ah, that feels right to me.

Was this the year we were also calling Stefan "popmann" because of his spectacular and incredibly entertaining (but probably not for him) pops? Or was that a later year?

Stefan, you were such a tremendous joy to our community - many great advancements (magic methods, BLD methods, megaminx scrambles, and so much more), and also such a great personality. Thank you for everything you did for us!

There was at least one spectacular pop at US Nats 2008 where an edge piece rolled under the raised stage. I thought it might have been Ryan Patricio, but maybe Stefan also got one at that comp or another comp?

And yes, Stefan I think Mike and I would agree that we are speaking from fondness and admiration as you were a titan of early BLD solving methods, cube theory, and method development generally!

I’m grinning ear to ear that we’re all getting a mini-reunion of sorts in this thread!
