Can't finish Sexy Method

It is as bad as it sounds, I just can't finish Sexy Method for some reason.
I am reading the tutorial at:

I have finished it a few times but there are always a couple stray edges in the solve. It seems to head downhill at the "3X more corners" step. Sometimes I can clean the cube up enough that it looks like an F2L, the two bottom layers are solid, with proper yellow cross on top. But I flip the cube over like the tut says, do an RUR'U' to send a piece down the slot and the edges are broken from then on out.

Am I missing something? The tutorial doesn't mention edge cleanup beyond that point. I even reassembled my cube in case I "impossibled" it somehow. Loosing my mind, any ideas?

Are you rotating the cube everytime you do RUR'U'? Because you're only supposed to do the sexy move and D moves. Also, I don't know if you were doing this part, but after you insert the last corner, you just keep doing sexy move until the cube doesn't look scrambled.

Hello asportking, thanks for the reply.
I only rotate the cube when the method advises, which IIRC is during the "Three more corners" and at the "Final two corners" phases.
Everything else is tricks for sides or sexy move with U and/or D to line things up.

Ok, so what you do is:
First, flip the cube upside down
Next, look at the corner in the front right on the top layer
Do a D move (don't rotate the whole cube) until the place where that corner piece is supposed to go is in the front right on the bottom layer
Do sexy move until the corner is in the right place
Now you'll have a different corner in the front right on the top layer. Repeat this process.

I tried it and it works for me. If you still can't figure it out, do you think you could make a video of you doing it? That should help.

Thanks again asportking, I've no idea what I was doing wrong but I've managed to solve it a few times. When done correctly the mixed edges come together magically at the last minute. I'll keep practicing and see if I can get successful solves above 50% (and below fifteen minutes lol!)

Ok, good luck! By the way, one thing you might be doing wrong is not entirely finishing the sexy move. Like some people, as soon as they see that the corner is in the right position, they immediately go onto the next corner without finishing the sexy move (so they'd just do an RUR' and then not do the U')

I can't really bring much to the discussion but I would like to say what a novel idea this Sexy method is .

With the 3 more corners step, there are a few things that are important:

1. Once you turned the cube over so the white face is the U face, and you rotated the U face so the unsolved corner is at the front right corner, you do not move the U-face except when it's part of the sexy move. As long as you complete the sexy move in full, there can never be a bottom layer corner piece in the top face except in the front right corner.
2. Remember to complete the sexy move in full. So, R U R' U', instead of R U R'. The last U' rotation ensures that the bottom layer corner piece you just moved to the top layer ends up in the top face corner, ready to do be put back in the bottom layer.

So, I guess my two top tips are: Do not rotate the top layer, unless the rotation is part of the sexy move and complete each sexy move in full, including the final U' rotation.

Well I'm pretty sure it was all n00b mistakes on my behalf. If I had to guess, I was not finishing sexy move, I probably saw the right piece go in, cry 'yipee' and move on no matter where in the process I was. Now I can usually solve every time, sometimes under three minutes. Thanks gang!
