I feel awesomely great now (LOL @ my redundancy!!), since I just broke sub-30 on camera (finally!!! -- after 3 months of cubing!!!)... but i dunno, I want to break sub-20 before saying I can "best" my school (there's apparently one girl who uses petrus who can sub-15... is that even possible?!) at cubing (especially 3x3x3 and OH 3x3x3).

can anybody please give me some insight as to how to continue improving?

My basic breakdown is about ~15 - 18 seconds for F2L now (much better??), and about 10 seconds for LL if I can help it...

16/21 PLLs learned (one more N and the 4 Gs).

Is it possible for me to break sub-25 before the TOW??

Feel free to talk about how and what you did when you first broke sub-30...
My feeling? Still sick.
Gotta go eat something then I'm probably off to bed (at 7:30pm, I know...)

My F2L (except on a fairly good solve) is very close to yours. I'm about usually 14-17, but very rarely I can go as low as 10 and I can sometimes go as high as low 20's The G's come up a lot, so you should definitely learn those, and in the meantime before you learn the other N, just reflect the one you do know if you run into it.

When I first broke sub 30 average... It was really late at night and I was tired but I was excited.

And yeah, congrats on reaching your goal :D onward to sub 25! I was much more excited at my first sub 25 average than my first sub 30, so good luck on getting there soon :D

I signed up for the TOW 2009 on March 7th (lol, day before my 18th bday :D), and I'm getting nervous as to how to practice to reach my goal (in a month!) of getting sub-30 averages that are consistent, and sub-25 singles, so as to not look like an incompetent piece of crap :(.

goal reached? :D

I dunno, it's not consistent; yes, I've gotten 3 sub-30s so far, dispersed among sub-35s and some 38s and 39s... but I can say that I've gotten pretty fast at what I do know of Fridrich.

But I must say, a better cube really did change a lot.
TYPE As FTW! <33

Yeah, actually my first sub-30 was my PB -- 28.08; this was just 5 solves that I wanted to record because I felt "warmed-up" enough to sub-30. And thanks for the congrats; hope to talk to ya at the TOW! :D

I am kinda at your level-ish, but my average is hovering at the 23-24 range.I try to set goals for myself for what time I want to finish F2L, because I could see that was where most of the time in my solve was going.
Initially it was to finish at 20 seconds, but now the goal I have for myself is to finish both F2L and OLL at 15 seconds.

I can tell the practice is paying off though, because my sub-20 solves were extremely few and far between like, 2 weeks ago, and now I can hit one every now and then.

It's definately possible. I can think of at least one guy who can sub 15 with petrus, but I highly doubt there's a girl at your school, that none of us have ever heard of, that can do the same. Possible, but I don't think so.
