Brandon asked me to clarify my decision to not award another solve. He asked me about this attempt during the competition and showed me video of his solve on his camera, which I was happy to do so as to perform my due diligence. From that view I could not be certain that the error rested in the timer and not in his stopping procedure. Because of that, he was not awarded another solve.

One may disagree, especially with the image slowed down/stopped and blown up, but that was the course of action I choose with the evidence I had. I cannot speak to the decisions of other delegates at Worlds or otherwise but I am sure they also did the best they could with the evidence afforded them. I believed I applied the rules for incidents (Article 11) correctly.

You did the safe thing, so people shouldn't be angry with you. I'm angry with the timers, it shouldn't be up to a delegate it just shouldn't be a problem. Did speedstacks refuse to refund? We only have gen2s in Australia so we haven't had this problem.

I really don't want to go back to gen2 timers, it always had a bit of inaccuracy and might lean towards times like .96 (popular magic single, before pros) and not other surrounding times as much. Pros obviously dont do this nearly as much (might be +-.002 or something small at most).
