I am terrible at block building. Do you have any tips? I looked for some threads but didn't find many useful ones. I mainly want to learn for roux and ZZ with r and l blocks.
Thanks
Here is a solve to demonstrate my abilities (I am using roux. ):
Scramble: L' F L U2 R' B2 L R B F L' R2 F' L U B' D2 U' B' F'
Inspection: z2 y
First block: D' R' D F U' l' U l
Second block: U' R2 U' R U R2 U' R2 U R' U' M2 r U r'

what i'd do in a speedsolve:
x2
U2 F R2 F (eoline 4)
R' U R2 U R U2 R2 U' L' U L U2 L * U' R' (leave one slot 15)

or continue at * for 2gll:
(17 moves setup)
U2 L U' L' U L U2 (L' R') U2 L U2 (12)
L U L U' L' U' L U2 L' U2 L' U L' U2 (14)

=43 htm moves :(
but 2 gen last layer :)

building blocks is one thing, but there are ways to put the cube in "more solved" positions without actually assembling blocks of colors. solving eo and cp for example, allow the cube to be solved more efficiently, ergonomically, and freely, without specifically making the cube look any more solved. does that make sense?
