Blindsolving Accomplishment Thread

OK, on 19th of April 2025 I said that I wouldn't continue with this list (seemed to be a perfect moment to stop it).
But now I've written some Python-Code to help generating this list (last October I startet with Python but only to find all mbld-means) and so I don't care about what I said :D - at least this time.

@ChrisCuber123
Congrats to Christopher Chi for completing his 5bld-mean on 10th of May 2025! He is the 51st with an Ao5 or Mo3 in all actual official events!
Congrats to Thomas Strasser for completing his mbld-mean on 12th of July 2025! He is the 52nd with an Ao5 or Mo3 in all actual official events!
Congrats to Bálint Csengő for completing his mbld-mean on 12th of July 2025! He is the 53rd with an Ao5 or Mo3 in all actual official events!
Thomas and Bálint were at the same comp and Thomas did the attempt#3 in 01:41 and Bálint in 59:28, so I think that Thomas finished earlier and I took him as #52.

(Ao5 or Mo3 including the blindfold accomplishments in 4bld, 5bld and multi and therefore posted here)

I don't think MBLD mo3 should count towards this achievement. Since a MBLD success doesn't require a perfect success rate, the hard part of getting a MBLD mean is just finding a comp which offers 3 attempts. For example, Thor Muto Asmund would have managed this 3 years ago if it wasn't for the fact that it took going to 34 comps with MBLD since his first MBLD comp before one of them finally offered 3 attempts. This achievement shouldn't be about how far you can travel to go to a comp with 3 attempts.

How about making mo3 MBLD more common to organize?

Any incentives that can be built for it?

It is sad that even the past 2 Worlds had only 2 attempts of multi blind.

I posted my point of view last on 2025-10-14, only change since then is, that I have some Python-code now to find the members of the list.

Here's my post from 2023-09-06 with explanation and a list of cubers at that time with no mbld-mean and whether the could have one:
When I started the list, 4bld-mean and 5bld-mean were only separately listed and not in the personal "scoresheet" - and I wasn't aware that comps with Bo3 in mbld are so rare (especially in USA - but how should I think about that much with Mark already having the mbld-mean-of-3?)

I don't want to change the list now and since I don't use a database query for it I won't continue with it too long.

But indeed, the list of cubers with "only missing the mbld-mean-of-3" has a lot of really good names. I hope they are all listed below. A <name> is a cuber who wasn't at a comp with Bo3 in mbld yet (and therefore had no chance to get it), the others DNSed or DNFed at least one attempt in a Bo3.

Ezra Hirschi, <Michael Tripodi>, Tom Nelson, Cale Schoon, Roman Strakhov, <Wenjie Xu (徐文杰)>, Martin Vædele Egdal, Artyom Martirosov, <Manuel Gutman>, Tommy Cherry, <Bálint Csengő>, <Christopher Sun>, <Jonathan Blöcher>, <Julian Alejandro Forero Gonzalez>, Cary Huang, <Mason Langenderfer>, <Evan Liu>, <Cedric Meysing>, <Mike Hughey>, <Zeke Mackay>, <Joshua Feran>, Max Siauw, Ashwyn Wadhawan, Yifan Wang (王逸帆), Lennon Hughes, <Chris Hardwick>, Arkadiusz Żynel, Thor Muto Asmund, Jiachi Han (韩佳池), Conan Mo, <Francisco Moraes Mandalozzo>, Matthew Dickman

Hmmm, when I think about it now: I could "allow" an unofficial 8bld-single instead of the official mbld-Mo3 for cubers who haven't been to a comp with Bo3 yet. One cuber would be added :D
Yes, it is still unfair - but everyone should feel free to create another list (and maybe with data query ;))

I don't think MBLD mo3 should count towards this achievement. Since a MBLD success doesn't require a perfect success rate, the hard part of getting a MBLD mean is just finding a comp which offers 3 attempts.
Interesting: only 5 cubers so far did their mbld-mean the really hard - perfect - way. They got a triple n/n in an mbld-round (here the entries in the WCA-Results-Export - and I added the number of cubes):

6 930292100 0 950160500 940215200 930292100 0 0 IndianNationals2018 333mbf f Nikhil Soares 2015SOAR01 3 NULL NULL India (4, 5 and 6 cubes)

Nevins and Niklas are therefore the only members in a very, very exclusive club

Huge congrats on the 11BLD success! Are you planning to go for 13BLD(or 12BLD) next or are you taking a break from hugeBLD?
Thanks! Yeah I plan to go for 12BLD in a month or two. Not sure if I'll ever want to try 13BLD -- probably will be satisfied after getting my first "World's First"

Second person to solve 11x11 Blind :)

Also, something I think I'm even more proud of:
I now hold all of the non-WCA NxN BLD World Records!!! :)
Congratulations! You are a huge inspiration! Just a couple days after watching your video on YouTube I attempted my first 6BLD solve in almost 6 years!

Very excited for your accomplishment!
