Second attempt today. Pretty bad start but ridiculously smooth ending (0:33 to 0:44).

8.02 tps overall, with 10.96 tps (!) for the last 7 PLLs

I have another 34.25 video with an amazing start but a shaky ending and another 34.93 video with better lighting. Ask me if you want them. I'll send them to you. I don't see the point of uploading three PLL time attack videos.

I think I might be the second fastest PLL time attacker in the world after Breandan. Please let me know if you know of anyone else faster than I am.

I know at least two threads asking for PLL time attack orders that return the cube to it's initial state. My order does exactly that, and it's anything but slow :) I can make a video showing exactly how I execute all my PLLs if anyone wants.

Video description:
My PB is 33.40.

As far as I know, this is the fastest time achieved with a PLL time attack sequence that restores the cube to the solved state.

For the record, I don't do these U and H perms in actual speedsolving - I use <M,U> algs. I also actively use 4 different F perms and 2 different L perms for speedsolving.

That was awesome!
Did you quote that from 0:46? ;)

It would be really nice if you would add annotations for each PLL as you start executing it - it would be both more informative and more fun to watch, I think.
I tried. It was really hard. I couldn't even tell what I was doing, especially towards the end :o

I'll try to get the annotations up tomorrow.

I just had a thought, does anyone have some video editing software that can slow the video down? I can send you the raw file to be processed. I think that'd be great

Windows Movie Maker can do that. But it's free, and any windows computer will already have it.:)

That's very impressive, especially the end o_0 Your A perm could probably be faster though, it looks like the slow part of the attack.
Thank you :) But yeah, like I said, I had a pretty bad start, had a couple of nasty lockups on the N's, A's, and H. A good start would be something like sub-10 for the 4 G's and 2 N's, and sub-18 for the following E, A, A, H, and Z, and then I would ruin the entire time attack by getting too nervous at the end where all the easy and high-TPS PLLs are :p

Windows Movie Maker can do that. But it's free, and any windows computer will already have it.:)
I've been poking around for quite a bit but I can't seem to figure out how.

I have a really old version, so I doubt it's your software being outdated. Try video affects.

Nice Jb perm :) See I told you all you need was a video :p

What cube do you use btw?

EDIT: If Breandan added another PLL to solve his cube after executing the 21, he would've ended it in a solved state and could still be faster :p

Dang, you're right! I need more practice

I don't know. Most probably a hybrid. Definitely a JSK core because the center caps have hooks on them. And then some combination of old Type A and storebought corners and edges, I think :o I'm not too concerned about cube types, really. I think I might be able to sub-40 on any cube without too much trouble, tension is pretty much all that matters to me, I guess ;)

Blah, what's your average average and best average?
For PLL time attacks or for regular 3x3x3 speedsolving?

I hate to admit this, but I'm rather inconsistent when it comes to time attacks. I average about 38 without warm-up, and 36 after. It's not uncommon to get something as bad as sup-40 though :(

As for speedsolving, I don't ;) I do slowsolving. I only go about 30-40% of my maximum (capable) speed throughout a solve, and about 60-70% for PLL, that's as fast as I get in an actual solve. Reason? I like smooth solves and I don't like locking up during PLL. I've tried Nakaji's/Feliks's style before - I was faster that way - but I didn't like the inconsistency and unpredictability and lack of flow in such solves. Speedsolving is more of an art than a science to me: I'd rather have smoother solves than faster ones.

I can't answer the second part of your question because I really don't keep track of my PB averages and singles because I don't really care about them (yes, even averages). Only average average matters to me, because that's what I tell people when they ask me how fast I am. My average average is about 14 to 14.5, and I believe my PB average of 12 is somewhere in the low 13s, definitely not sub-13.

I can safely say that PLL time attacks are completely useless for me in actual speedsolving, because I don't go full speed during PLL.

Just added annotations for all the PLLs. Apparently I have a 1.2 V perm and a 1.1 Y perm
