Big Cube Critiques?

Does pros use redux in 6*6?
I think the wr holder (max park) uses it still.
The thing you have to note is that just cause yau for example has the best results in 4x4/5x5 etc doesnt necessarily mean its the best, cause as soon as 1 person got good with it alot of people switched to it, so that has left other methods (such as hoya and redux) with less users, so its less likely that there are good results with them.

I personally think that Yau and Hoya are equally the best methods for nxns, with redux close behind.

Yeah, reduction is definitely a solid method - pretty much every modern big cube method evolved from it in some way. Even world class solvers like Max Park, kevin Hays and others still use reduction-based approaches. It’s really about picking one method and grinding it consistently - that’s where real improvement comes from.

Hey! I’m also following the same path of chasing that 6x6 dream. I’ve been focusing a lot on improving my solves and consistency lately too. Your times and goals sound really solid — I’d love to connect and maybe exchange some critiques or tips along the way. Always great to see more big cube enthusiasts pushing for sub-4!
I solve 4x4 and 5x5 occasionally, but my main focus is 6x6.
