The first time i lubricated my cube (Few Weeks ago) i had no choice but to utilize Lube Gel. At first it was OK. But as countless numbers of hours past, my cube started to feel more difficult to move. Should i just clean the inside of the cube and lubricate with silicon spray?
More concerning, Are DIY cubes made specifically for SpeedCubing?
Lastly i feel it is unfair how some new cubes are already have a lubricated like feeling and others are as if glue was applied to the cube.

Thanks

is anything fair in life?

It absolutely hate it when people say stuff like this, or something like "so what, life is unfair". That is one of the most ridiculous things I have heard. If you want to debate it, we can, in the off-topic area.

Getting back to the original question, I'd recommend you check out aznblur's response.

Is there allso a difference from the chinese DIY (cube4you) and the rubiks DIY?
I think a white cube is just awesome. And a red is even beter, but if they tend to suck I wonder if rubiks is better.

I haven't received them myself yet, but this is what I heard:

Rubiks DIY used to be the best 3x3x3 there were.

The new Chinese DIY - type A - are even better. They come in different colors and because White has a slightly softer plastic those are mentioned as "better than black". (Don't call me a racist because those are not my words :))
The Chinese DIY seem to have a "mystery thing" you can either put in the corners or you can leave it out.

I have the Chinese DIY Type A Black one. It's really smooth and its good quality! I had to build it myself ( 1 hour.. hands very sore afterwards) and it turned out really smooth! Hmm... it seems i'm missing the so called "mystery thing"

What do you expect from a 12 yr old using an extra long screw driver? It was hard enough just trying to put the centre pieces in..
