Sorry if this gets asked here every day, but I can't find a good guide of which 4x4x4 to buy. I'm somewhat under the impression that the Maru is one of the best, but I would really like another person's opinion that has a bit of experience with this.

If you get a maru you will regret it!

Best to worst:
X-cube
Shenshou/GhostHand II
Dayan+Mf8
Maru
Meffert/QJ
Rubik's

You should get the shenshou. Its good and its not 50$ like the X-cube is, its 9$.

Remember to ask these questions in the One Answer Question thread.

I have quite a bit of experience with 4x4s, and I would recommend the DaYan+mf8 due to being half as much as the X-Cube, it is the world record cube, if lubed and tensioned it is amazing (but tensioning will be necessary to reduce pops). It is also one of my favorite 4x4s. But, if you have the money ($40 dollars to be exact), and are willing to do some lubing and a lot of tensioning, try the X-Cube. Finally, on another note, for questions like this you should ask it in the One Answer Question Thread rather than creating another thread.

Hope this helps,

Ian

P.S. The QJ Mini is a pretty decent 4x4, considering it used to be the most popular before all of these new screw-spring structure 4x4s

The maru would actually be a decent enough cube, if the centers didn't misalign so much. But anyway, I pretty much agree with everyone else here, get an x-cube if you can afford it and have the time to lube it and break it in, or get a shengshou or a dayan+mf8 (I recommend shengshou) if you don't have the money.

Thanks for the quick replies guys, and I'm really sorry for not seeing that "One Answer Question" thread; I always miss the one sticky relevant to my question when I sign up for forums. :p

I think I'm going to go with the Shenshou; maybe I'll try out the X-cube once I have some money a little practice with the Shenshou. Thanks again.
