It has been said that the Moyu Meilong Models are the best bang of your buck budget cube you can get. It only feels like that for a week and begins turning into a nightmare. Factory springs are tight and single track magnets are not even remotely stable. I even know of some non-magnetic options that offer better quality than this. In a nutshell, AVOID the Meilong series unless you know how to maintain it decently.

Another few puzzles to avoid are the Yuxin brand, Rubiks brand, and the XMAN design. Now there are some of you who like these puzzles, and I respect that. I am saying this purely out of my own experience, Yuxin lack stability way more than the Meilong, Rubiks has some unique puzzles to their brand but are clearly not designed for speed, and the XMAN design? It has the best feel you could ever ask for, but the strength of the puzzle is overall sad, as mine didn't even last a whole year.

The plastic capsules on about half of the adjustable edge magnets on my tv3 have chipped and the magnets fell out💀
It didn't last 3 months

Since then I haven't been able to find the perfect cube. I'm hoping the v5 will be better.
they better make it right this time...
mine didn’t last a month and broke like 2 days before a comp💀💀
luckily my parents let me get used to my GAN XS before the comp
I got a 10.16 PR average and a 7.50 PR single
Is Gan XS horrible? And which model broke 😭

horrible? nah, it’s WAY better than that. It’s a bit slow for my preferences but it’s controllable, snappy, and it was crunchy before 10 year-old me decided to overlube it because I didn’t find it smooth enough

the tornado V3 pioneer is the one that broke

I had just the flagship (was still goat but broke right in the middle of INSANE solve 😭 same for my Aofu WRM just broke record and was trying for it again and it broke😭that was a long time ago)

my xt3v1's magnets have come somewhat loose and they make this annoying click sound everytime i turn one of the affected faces. unfortunate i guess, but i've gotten used to it atp
My xt3's magnets were a little loose to begin with. I'm not able to figure out which ones though.

for anything loose (like if a screw on a cube keeps getting unscrewed) then I tear off some paper and stuff it in the hole! That fixes a lot of problems(while making a bunch of new ones 🤣 )

do you have any other cube that are better?
unfortunately, no. some tiny relative while i was at school got to my rs3m and put glue inside it. i decided to turn it into an edgeless display piece, but it's just not the same.

i managed to take apart a few of the corners (absolutely painful, would not recommend doing so), and found out the some of the plastic magnet casings had come a bit loose (those and a few of the magnets as well). a distinct trait common to all the pieces affected was the fact they rotated in place almost as I turned the face.
