Hey guys, I have a quick question, yes i've used search in multiple forums and people have only said that they last longer. Do Cubesmith stickers usually last longer than 6 months? I'm planning on ordering four sets, thinking that it will last me for a while from what i've heard. Any feedback would be nice! :) Thanks

Even if they don't 'last that long'... (which I have heard they do)... Cubesmith's service is EXCELLENT... so it's not like there is a 6 week wait for stickers

You'll inevitably chip bits of the stickers off with your fingernails but they'll mostly be intact after 6 months. Which is a lot better than a few weeks with Rubik's Stickers.

Tim.

Yeah they last awhile, mine have chips and stuff but thats probably due to too long fingernails and I know that they could last a few more months. Though I just ordered two new sets for looks purely, parents ordered the standard rather than bright and I want bright >.>.

Wow, few weeks? That's pretty good. I generally do like two days.

I'm planning on getting 3 standard and one bright set. I'm kind of worried of bright somewhat blinding me :P
Edit: Okay so this is what i've come down to. Since i'm going to be doing mail order, i will have to round up to the nearest dollar. Two of my friends are also purchasing with me so i already have over 15 dollars. Should i get 4 sets of standard and 1 set of bright and a Scrape-Rite Blade (I think it is kind of a waste to buy a piece of plastic for 75 cents but if i don't in this scenario i still waste around 80 cents and i don't want any custom colors) or should i get 4 sets of standard and two sets of bright? The thing i'm worried about is the bright colors blinding me or something with its..brightness haha!
First case i would only waste 20 cents and the second i would only waste ten cents but it would be a dollar more.
Any feedback?
By the way, i decided to add a set in case some of my friends ever need new stickers so i can give them some :)

At first, I thought the scraperite blade was a joke... but I ordered one just for kicks. It is actually VERY useful. I use mine to peel off the old stickers, to remove the new stickers from their backing, and also to place the new stickers on the cube... and if you get an air bubble under your sticker, the blade can sometimes "push it out". It's defintely worth 75 cents.

As for how long the stickers last... it depends on your fingernails and also how you treat your cube. If you toss it around much then the stickers are going to start "chipping." I don't believe I have EVER had a cubesmith sticker to peel off, but I've had plenty to chip.

Have you considered the tiles? I just recently tried them for the first time (textured version) and I think I am probably going to stick with them.

Bright Stickers: They are not bright enough to blind you, and after using them for awhile... I would never go back to the plain colors.

Thanks for that feedback!
I have tried tiles, my friend has some non-textured tiles. It just feels weird and one of my friends lubed their cube when they had tiles and the lubricant (CRC Heavy Duty) actually made the tiles chip. Also, i like the way stickers feel compared to tiles :) So bright stickers are much better than plain stickers?

Edit: So this is what i'm down to: Either get 4 sets of standard and 2 sets of bright so my total order (with other stuff my friends want) will be around 19.90 which would be twenty dollars.
Or: Get 3 sets of standard and 2 bright, a scrape rite and a custom color- probably purple- which would total to be 19.90 as well
Or: Get 2 sets of standard and 3 bright, and a scrape rite for a perfect twenty dollars.

I'm not sure whether or not i'll like the bright set so that's why i have more standard than bright in the first two cases, any feedback?

you'll like the bright set
trust me

i got i think like 3 brights and 3 normals+blade back when u needed a 10$ limit
and i should've gotten 5 brights + blade. i'm never gonna use the normals
oh and i got them before this date: 06-09-2007, 03:03 AM b/c i made a post at the time saying i already had them
and i'm still using my original bright set that i put on. it chipped only a little bit on 2 stickers, you can barely notice it

Anyone else have feedback on the bright set of replacement stickers?

I'm pretty much down to getting 3 bright, 2 standard, and a scrape rite blade or getting 4 bright, 1 standard, and a scrape rite blade.

Arget,

I sent you a PM... I don't know if you have pop-ups enabled for PMs, so I wanted to let you know.

Hey guys just a quick question. Didn't want to make an entirely new thread. So i mail ordered my Cubesmith order and mailed it out last Tuesday and i live in Florida. It usually takes 5-7 days for an envelope to be sent from Florida to California. It's been a week and I still haven't gotten the confirmation e-mail. I didn't want to send an e-mail to the guy since i know he's very busy but i was just wondering if anyone who has mail ordered before has had their order confirmation a little late or the order itself be a little late. Is Cubesmith backordered at the moment? Thanks for the help!

I live in Florida, as well, and have ordered through Cubesmith several times. I don't send a check - I pay by Pay Pal. Consequently my order confirmations have all come through Pay Pal. Perhaps he doesn't send an order confirmation if you send a check in the mail.

Each time I ordered from Cubesmith, the product was in my mailbox within five days - I think once it came even sooner. But if you have doubts, there's no reason not to send him an email. You'll find he's very personable and very professional. Just email and say that you wanted to make sure he got your check, and wondered when you could expect delivery of the product you ordered.

By the way, Arget, what part of Florida do you live in? There are several Floridians on this forum - although Florida is such a big state that I don't think any of us live near each other. I live in Palm Beach County - on the southeast coast.

See, that's the thing, i included well concealed cash in teh envelope since i didn't have any other options :/ I thought that since his website says not to e-mail him until after its been two weeks, i shouldn't bother him, do you think i should still send him an e-mail?
EDIT: I sent him the e-mail.
Double Edit: Great news, fast response from Chris and he has recieved my package :) he's just waiting on his bright orange shipment to come in.

I say better recognition.
But I say only get the bright yellow, it will be your most important color with OLL and all, it you can track it down better after you finish F2l to predict your OLL case.

I only use bright yellow because it looks cool. :P
But I also have an cube with original Studio stickers, boy they are dark, but I am just as fast with both.
The other bright side of bright stickers is that it's thicker thus more durable. :P
