Hello, I’m fairly new to cubing, even speedcubing. I am waiting to buy a decent speed cube because I am still researching. I can solve a rubik’s cube with the original method in a minute and a half, but have been getting the same time everytime I solve. The fredrick method is confusing and out of my league for me but will not be when I get better. So are there any beginner friendly solving methods to get a better time? Thanks.

Hmm. Check out J perm’s beginner f2l video, as well as his two look oll and two look pll. The goal of CFOP (fridrich’s) is to build a cross on the bottom, then find corner and edge pairs and put them in the correct place, then get the yellow side, then get solve the rest. With that you should be able to get under thirty seconds if you practice!

The tutorials on Cubeskills.com are also very good.

yeah, I agree. Cubeskills is the best. :) I started cubing in January 2014, I watched Crazybadcubers tutorials, but If I would have started today, I would be happy If someone told me about cubeskills. :) Feliks is a really humble teacher, and It just motivates you to practice. :)
