As I approach the end of OLL, I'm prepared to take a long break from learning algorithms. But I think there are some more algorithms that I should learn eventually, algorithms that an advanced CFOP cuber should learn. I'm thinking of learning COLL, even though I don't see the purpose of doing so unless I learn ZBLL, which I have no plan of learning in the near future. So my question is: what other algorithms should I learn?

In my opinion (which shouldn't be taken TOO seriously considering I only average 16-17), once you've got 2 Look Last Layer down, work on getting your PLLs fast. Once they are all below 3 seconds, or maybe even 2 seconds, you should start learning some algs for the more complex F2L cases (assuming you already use intuitive F2L). If you already know all the algs for F2L, then I think increasing your PLL speed as well as doing F2L only solves will help you get faster.

In terms of COLL and all that jazz, I would doubt that it's necessary to get sub-15. In fact, I would even guess that you won't need them period. Some that are fun to do are when you have a headlights OLL case, since the OLL sucks, maybe learn the different cases for that and turn the headache of headlights into an "I want headlights" because then you can get either the whole LL done or at least the corners done as well. Use a small group of headlights + corners and/or edges to force a smaller set of possibilities for PLL.

This is just my opinion though.

If you want to learn any algs at all, try to measure individual times for all the algorithms you know. There might be some algorithms that u are slow at, or are not good ones. Consider replacing them with better/faster ones.
Or you can learn algs for OH or BLD or other puzzles if u want.

I usually go through the F2L page on the wiki and test how many moves I do the image intuitively, and if there is a much shorter solution it only takes a couple of seconds until I understand it. Like using (d/d') ect.

If you do learn another set of algorithms you could probably learn ELL and CLL. I learned 20 of the ELL's and I thought it would be a nice alternative to OLL/PLL. But I got bored of it and said I should learn all my OLL's first(5 left to go).

Another thing you could learn is L5E(last 5 edges) and L4C(last 4 corners). This would be nice because you often end up with a solved F2L corner and even if you dont it is always a maximum of 4 moves away from it being solved. I think this could potentially be faster but with a lot of algorithms. You would have to do L5E intuitively or generate your own algorithms because there is not page that I know that has what I am talking about and there 84 L4C algorithms that are not that good of algs. But this could be a faster alternative(maybe0.
