Advice for getting sub 30 avg.

Yea, F2L is the biggest chunk of the solve, it's probably where you have the most room for improvement. You can probably do 4LLL in ~10 secs, get your F2L to sub 20 and you'll be fine. GO SLOW AND LOOK AHEAD. once you can do that. GO FASTER AND LOOK AHEAD.

I was about your speed when I went to full PLL. How did you memorize all the 2-look algorithms if you're having such a hard time with PLL? It took me about 1 1/2 weeks to get all the PLL's memorized. It took another 2-3 weeks to get back to my same speed with 2-look. Then another week or two for my times to start dropping. You can't really worry about speed at all if you're learning new algorithms.

I found it kind of easy. What I did was pick an algorithm (or two with the G-perms) and practice it with the paper 10-20 times. Then memorize the notation. Once you have the notation memorized solve it slowly going through the notation in your head. Do this about 30-50 times and then start working on getting it faster. By this point it should be muscle memory. Do the algorithm at least 20 times at a faster speed using just the muscle memory. Once you have done this, periodically grab the cube through the day and run through the algorithm 5-10 times.

If you still forget it after doing this, then get an MRI done.

Learn the triggers for full PLL, and use note cards, that helped me learn them quickly although, I have not been able to practice much so my execution is still slow.

Here is a very good PLL trainer: http://brunson.com/drillsergeant/

Good luck!
