A Thought.....

The last 5, so we can laugh at them.
I did actually think of including "bottom" views, but then thought it'd be mean (yes, I'm able to feel sympathy sometimes).

How about caching the HTML of all the 3x3x3 competitors?
Why, is it too slow?

We did consider that, but I believe we decided against it because the current way is fast enough. We do have auxiliary data tables computed from the full tables in order to make certain queries easier and faster. As far as I know, only the statistics page is fully cached as HTML.

Edit: Wait, I think I misunderstood. I meant the person pages. You meant the 3x3x3 event page. Answer is the same, though. And I believe generating that page takes less time than transfering it to the browser and rendering it in the browser. So the server is not the problem, the internet connection and the browser are, and the server caching the page wouldn't help with those.

A "see all results" option would be nice.
Why?

Seriously. I'm sure you don't want to see all results. At least not 3x3x3. Already because you wouldn't have the time to read them all. And for the small events down to 5x5x5 blind, top 100 results should suffice. So what are you really after?

Well that's part of it, minus the laughing. I also sometimes just wonder about how many sub-2 5x5 solves there have been, how many sup-2:00 3x3 solves etc. Random stuff like that, and seeing all results would just be nice in those cases.

Can we have a scrollable "see all results"? I certainly don't want to see all at once but it would be very useful to be able to go to, say, the 58th group of 100 results. Sometimes I want to, say, look for all the people who have ever gotten a certain time on 3x3, or look for the worst results ever, or something like that, and if it's not in the top hundred it's really difficult to find that kind of information. It would be nice if I didn't have to download the entire database to do that.
