Hi, I'm some random 14 year old from the U.S. that figured this is the best place to find cool people.

Decided to join a week ago after lurking for a few months and wanted to say hi.

I focus on 2x2, 3x3, 5x5, and pyraminx which aren't too big for me that makes me take 5 minutes but not so easy that I don't practice them because the satisfaction is such a nice motivator.

I used to solve cubes a few years ago (5 years?) when it became the new rage at my school and we all used the beginner's method since we never heard of anything like, "CFOP," or "Roux," or "de mehta zzfop zero look gan cubycubecube yau method" and just went off of that speedcubereview video. I used to get 40 seconds and was about the fastest kid at school until we all got booted out of school for secondary school.
Cubing just died out in middle school, so I stopped practicing until I met two guys who were averaging below 30 seconds which impressed me, and got me back into cubing.

I use roux currently because those guys used CFOP I hadtrouble with understanding f2l and oll algorithms, but I found this website filled with people who also have a similar interest in cubing and improving, and joined. My first two blocks are really inefficient but I hope to improve by the end of winter.

Have a great winter and good luck with whatever you're practicing!

(Yes, my age is not 21, I "accidentally" set this when I thought that age would discriminate who I was {not anymore} but I have no idea whether the admins would be too bothered to change this to 14)

sup, welcome I kinda dont cube much anymore and im "retired" but I average ~ 10 seconds still and I used to be kinda decent at solving and I had a low 6 single but anyway welcome and ya cfop is still better than roux

I want to argue against that but I don't want to start it here in a intro. You can post this on the cubing argument thread.
