As you know there are many LSLL variants of the ZZ-method and I am debating whether to go and train myself for being slot specific or slot nuetral. I've heard it's good to be slot nuetral but I've also heard that like in the CT post that it's good to always leave out the FR edge, so what do you think is best?

Generally speaking, you do want to solve the back slots before the front slots because it makes look ahead easier when you don't have to look at the back of the cube. However, this isn't some hard rule. If I can solve the front right slot with just a 3-4 move insert, I'll solve it first, just because it's faster. Just solve what is fastest. Choose to solve back slots first when it's roughly equally difficult to solve a back slot or front slot

This is pretty dependent on the specific LSLL variant right? With ZZ-a and ZZ-b I see no reason not to be slot neutral. For ZZ-CT though, it may be necessary to end with FR, since no TTLL algs have been generated for other slots (you can do D' setups, but obviously this isn't to be desired).

To be honest I feel like you should simply aim to get your blockbuilding skills to the point where you can do both. Slot neutral should simply be a case of being able to quickly make a decision as to which slot is faster to solve, which is a skill you're going to need anyway for the left block. If you have that skill, you should be able to do slot specific by simply concentrating and making sure to solve the BR slot first. So I would vote for both.

EOCross for TH Tao. :p

Slot neutrality is very important. Many times for me, solving the front slots is faster than the back slots, so to take advantage of the best F2L every solve you should probably use EOCross with ZBLL. If you're using CT, slot neutrality is a lot harder to do right. Anyway, CT is worse than A in terms of movecount and ergonomics, you you should probably just use A.
