I posted this in the Yahoo Group, but I might as well post here too.
My rubiks.com 5x5x5 cube is popping often lately; turns out that my white side is ridiculously loose (I can pull it about 3mm from the rest of the cube, comparatively, pulling the other sides leaves no gap at all)). In short of buying a new core, is there anything I could do? I'd like to fix it myself so I don't have to wait for a core that may or may not get here by the time I leave for the US Open.
Found the problem; one part of the core (white side) moves, when it shouldn't. Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D4frwGZQQv4
