I just got a 5x5 yesterday, but both times i've tried to solve it i always have gotten a pll parity. I've looked online and haven't found anything, and people tell me that once all the tredges are complete, there shouldn't be any further parities. The parity is as follows (but on a 5x5, of course) : 4as3-pllparity.gif Is this a problem with the placement of pieces on my cube?

Are you sure it's a 5x5?
Are you absolutely certain the state of the "parity" is exactly as it is in the image you posted (which, incidentally, is an image of a 4x4)?
Can you post real pictures showing the whole cube so we can see the situation?

The reality is as the people above me have responded: on a 5x5 this case is impossible. We can only speculate as to the issue you are in without you answering my above questions.

You do not have to reassemble the edges, just the corners.

I ended up with the same parity following a mistake I made popping off the corner pieces and putting them back on the wrong corners (which I had done very early on in the solve).

When I solved the final corners I had the PLL parity. Having read this thread to find a solution, I figured it must have been the corners I swapped. I removed all 4 corners, then solved the final edges as normal, then popped the corner pieces back on. Solved.
