Hello speedsolving forum.

I was watching this video. In it stanley describes some bigBLD center tips for U2 method.

I've practiced and successfully implemented for X-centers.
But, I can't seem to figure out the method for +-centers.
It isn't explained in the video, the only thing stanley mentions is it can be accomplished without much more effort.

Just not sure what the insert would be.
for X-centers it is r2 D' r2 D r2.
so for +-centers it must be some other insert...
Does anyone know what it might be?

Thanks for reading! Any help is appreciated!

Hmm, the goal seems to be to put one T-center from down to up, yes? Then I would suggest something like:

L' l' R r f2 L l R' r’
(the two slices left up and the two slices right up to isolate the Uf, then the f2, then back)
EDIT: much easier to execute is
m d2 m'
(I feel so stupid right now ...)

I don't know, where the normal buffer is, so maybe you need to do this from another side (like F f B' b' r2 F' f' B b = s' u2 s).

I found the U2 X U' X' U' by myself and use it, but not for centers in the D-face. If I would develop my system today, I would use for the X-centers something like

r2 D' l2 D r2 D' l2 D
It is the same as
U2 r2 D' r2 D r2 U' r2 D' r2 D r2 U' (in Stanley's vid "First target in pair" and "Ubr“).

Or with T-centers:

D r2 D’ m2 D r2 D’ m2
is the same as
U2 m d2 m' U’ m d2 m' U’

OK, for T-centers it is 9 moves to 8, but you could experiment with the idea for the X-centers. You already learned the setup with 5 moves but a full 8-mover is much shorter in the end.
