Hey guys, so i finally got a replacement center piece after the original one broke after like 6 solves, and i finally sprayed my cube and replaced the stickers. But now, all sides turn smooth with the exception of one side of which one centerpiece is a little more popped out than all the other centerpieces, so i decided to check to see if it's broken, but it looks new, and perfectly fine. However that one side still gets stuck. I've moved the cube the amount equivalent to 15 solves (12 solves and moving it a few times). All the other sides are really smooth after i sprayed it. so do you guys know what the problem is ? should i buy a new center ? or wait for the cube to wear out a bit ?

btw, i have a rubik's 4x4x4, also do your 4x4x4s pop a lot too ? i think that center is causing the popping also(not sure).

thanks.

yes it is placed correctly, it pops every 1.5 solves. annoys me pretty bad, it's really not loose, i just sprayed it once, and haven't really played with it much. are there 4x4x4 algorithms on this forum ? do i need to know anything else besides PLL parity and OLL parity ?

Open your 4x4x4 and look at the flat triangles attached to the center ball.

Are they compleatly flat or do they got large rounded holes?

The older Rubik's 4x4x4 has got compleatly flat ones but last year they changed the construction of the 4x to the ones with holes.

If you got your replacement center from cubesmith, then it's one of the old type and those does not work well in the newer core ball, you will need a diffrent one. (no, I don't know where to get one).

I tried to fix my brothers new 4x, it was totaly stiff so I put his old centers into it and it got almost unturnable and poped like hell :-S
