Well, that was quite interesting to be honest.

So far it's one of the best times I've ever had using layer by layer on 4x4, even if I'm pretty sure someone else can do a lot better than this!

This was, anyway, very funny, especially if you consider this is a quite "strange" method.

Steps are the following:

1) First center
2) First layer (edges and corners)
3) Second layer centers
4) Second layer edges
5) Third layer centers and last center (obviously)
6) Third layer edges
7) Last layer corners (COLL)
8) Last layer edges (Whatever way you want)

Does someone have any faster trick for the third layer centers? I'm quite stuck there!

This is impressive!
I don't know about third layer centres, but I feel like you could save a few moves if you did first layer corners + second layer edges together, or solved three first layer corners and used the empty slot to keyhole in the second layer edges?

Perhaps this will save some, but is this really worth on a 4x4 cube? using keyhole requires a lot of lookahead if you're not really really used to it, especially if you have two edges that may fit in the same block! :P

not exactly layer by layer when you start putting in pieces of your second layer before your first layer is done, but still impressive none the less.

Eh? If you're talking about the 2nd layer centers, I'm pretty sure he finishes the first layer, and then does U2 R2 with layer on left to hide that group whilst building the second layer centers :)
