YJ MGC 4x4 Inner Layers Lockup

Today I bought the YJ MGC 4x4 from a competition (the sponsors had put a shop at the comp) and when I opened it, the outer layers were fine but the inner layers were locking up a lot. I also lubed it with weight 1. So is there any way to make the inner layers as smooth as the outer layers or does this happen to everyone?

Break-in helps. The MGC is not perfect so it has some issues. I would loosen it as much as it won't pop and then try to break it in.

Thanks! After a few days, it has become really fast, and the inner layer lockups have reduced a lot!
