4x4 Best Method

insane how you were waiting for me to reply, but to keep on topic ig hoya is the best method imo, but i honestly think that itll be beaten soon, as much as i dont want to say it. (i quite like @Caleb Valenzuela s method that i forgot the name of but it was like Calebs Optimised Block or something)
thanks for the mention
What's Caleb Optimised block?
Caleb Valenzuela’s Optimized Block (CVOB) is a new method i created, and is similar to OBLBL but with a more efficient approach (efficient in terms of turn speed. Haven’t computed the average movecount yet)
Here are the steps:
Step 1: Solve the Blue and green centers as if you were using Yau (i’ll be more in depth with these steps in the official tutorial)
Step 2: solve a 1x3x4 with the blue center on the left
Step 3: expand the 1x3x4 into a 2x2x3 (making sure you preserve the FL pair) using F3L techniques. Repeat again to expand the 2x2x3 into a 3x3x3 cube
Step 4: solve the front center (in my case it would be usually red) and the DF edge using F3L techniques
Step 5: finish edge pairing (like in Yau)
step 6: solve 3x3 stage using the APB method

Guys let's be real here, Yau is the best method for 4x4. Other methods are cool and fun and Hoya is pretty good but Yau is just the best. Like 97 out of the top 100 solvers use Yau, it's not really a hard decision.
hmmmm
you cant really say x cubers in the top y use z to support your point.
That just means that yau is more developed and/or popular.
Hoya is at least just as good as yau imo, but since not as many people use it, its harder for it to get good results.
When yau got popular everyone started recommending it to people, and they would recommend it other people and so on, meaning more and more people are just gonna use yau cause someone told them that the wr holder uses it or something rather then exploring less popular methods that have just as much, if not more potential to be great then yau.

BANDWAGON FALLACY ALERT!!!🚨BANDWAGON FALLACY ALERT!!!🚨
Sure, but I mean this question is kind of broad. "What is the best 4x4 method?" is not really a good statistical question as different people mostly put their focus on one specific method they use to solve 4x4. Yeah Yau is pretty popular, but of course there is a reason why that is the case, which being it's very good and practical to beginners and advanced cubers. I would say Yau is the best being the evidence is my last sentence, but I can see why other people would say Hoya, Redux, ect.

To summarize, there is no defined "best method" but if you're choosing on a method to main, pick one that is one for you. I only learned Yau cause it's pretty easy to learn and was faster for me compared to Redux.

jk 4x4 sucks

jk again 4x4 doesn't suck

Thank you all for responding! I learned 4x4 redux recently and seeing all these replies, I'll go with Yau. Thank you again!
Honestly, that's the route most people go to. Most beginners that want to learn 4x4 learn Redux since it's the "beginner method for 4x4" and either stick and improve with Redux or switch to Yau
