I got my 3x3x4 Cube from Cube4You yesterday, it was great yada yada yada, but I was beginning to wonder how to solve it, I new since the puzzle just became massively produced there wouldn't bet that many tutorials if any.

I googled it and all I got was topics saying you just solve it like a domino cube, inner layer than outer layer.

I have tried this twice, but When I finish the outer layer the inside layer has become mixed up again... am I doing something wrong? Heres my process:

Get inside edges into edges into correct places,
Switch edges
Permute edges.
repeat on outer layer.

???

isn't that the whole id of a puzzle?? just enjoy the puzzle part for once. Don't just try to find a tutorial. First try too think hard and solve it yourself. Later you can find other/better solutions to get faster. But then you also did solve it yourself once. Everybody can solve it with a tutorial.

I just did one on the iso cube sim. I solved the corners first using guimond permutation cases. then I solved the 8 edges on the outer layers with simple M2 comms to give me 2 opposite layers solved. then I solved the centers just like a big cube. then just do the rest of the edges with niklas style comms (R2 U' L2 U R2 U' L2 U). I ended up getting parity, so I just did the alg I use on 5x5 for a 2 wing swap.

Thanks and to martijn cube I do like to figure out my own methods, I have 4 different ones for the 3x3, but usually I like to understand the cube, and since I have never had a domino cube I don't understand the cube very well. Thus making it difficult for me to make my own method of course that does sound whiny. I tried to solve it for about 2 hours. Then I decided to learn how other people have done it, I searched for a tutorial found the thing about domino cubes and then found a tut on that (although it was mainly intuitive). I tried twice to solve the way the forum topics on twisty puzzles said but couldn't figure it out. Then I decided to ask you guys.

Gosh rambling!

I've never touched that cube before, but imagining it, I would solve it like a 4x4x4. Solve the 1x2 centers, then pair up the edges, and then 3x3 solve.

Edit: After thinking about it, never mind I guess. The non cube shape of it would make it so that the 3x4 sides can only do half turns, huh?

actually, i do edges then centers. then finish by solving like a domino cube.

Edit:
nvm. saw your edit.

Am I the only one that solves it like this(?):
1. F2L (quite simple and you skip OLL)
2. 3rd layer with PLL
3. Last layer with PLL

If I get a parity, I scramble the puzzle, because I don't know how to fix parity yet :/

I played around to find algs to move pieces with some control.
First I found 3 egde cycle, then I found how to do G-2 PLL, but of course I'm using it to cycle corners in most cases.

This will be the second day I play with the puzzle. I came to see if I could find a parity fix here since I can already solve the puzzle, but I guess I'll have to figure it out myself. Oh well.. :)

Hmm.... could it be solved like solving a Rubik's domino twice?
Why ask? Just think about the characteristics (like allowed moves) on a domino and on a "domino-part of 3x3x4" and you can easily see if it would work.
bool WorksLikeDomino = DoesHaveSubSolve("Robert Yau", Cube.333Normal, Result.Single, 10.00)
