How many unique L8E scrambles are possible?
I think you, as a quantum physicist and cosmologist, are able to calculate that but ok
8 edges, so 8! permutations, the first 7 edges can be in either orientation so the total number is 8! x 2^7 = 5160960 scrambles

In this thread we only so scrambles where the orientation is already done and the edges are on the correct side already, so (4!)^2 = 567 possible scrambles. Then theres case symmetry, pre-AUF etc to consider but this is about it.

I was not sure as there was AUF and all the edges were oriented.
