2 weeks in - showing improvement!

I would recommend experimenting with other methods soon, maybe after you hit 40 seconds with CFOP. If you are better with another method, definitely use that one. You are not restricted to CFOP. There are also other methods around the forum. Shadowslice has a bunch (though his are advanced), I have a cool one that has been getting a lot of attention, and there is one called Noah's CP Blocks 2.0. Just explore the forum and be open to new methods, it can help.

I started cubing a couple months ago, i know what your going through lol, but from what its like for me, practice really helped me figure out other ways to make f2l pairs, and for the cross, you should trying doing it slowly, in the lowest amount of moves you can do, that really improved my cross, good luck!

Nice! I would like to mention, to improve the cross what i did was try to do it bld, one piece at a time. This helps a lot. Also being able to look ahead in f2l is important, when i do a pair I think of it but you gotta look at other pieces for the next pair, because you know what u gotta do on the pair you're doing right now (this is hard, it comes with practice :P). You using 4lll now? :P that helps. F2l doesn't need to be fast. slow and continous flow on f2l is better than speedy and pauses. :P Cross, I would say atleast under 8 seconds. F2l, 30 seconds. 15 seconds for LL and wallah sub-60 solves for dayz. :P

Yeah, got 4lll now. And I got a 48.5 today but I had to add the 2 for a missed U rotation... To be fair :) There's still more day left, so maybe I'll get a "real" sub 50 today.
Breakdown on a solve? You'll then know what part is needing improvement, but tbh its prob f2l. Keep practicing f2l and looking ahead :P

Nice! You're improving. And yeah, 4LLL really helps :p. Also, F2L is the place where you can improve the most. Like, as you practise more and more, you'll find new ways to pair and insert F2L pairs :). And also, try to insert pairs from different angles, this helps in reducing cube rotations and it helped me get faster.
Hope this helped and you'll be sub 50 very soon ;).
