I tried to use the search but I can't search the number "2" because it's too short and it's annoying that it can't find anything and I have to keep redoing my search and wait 20 seconds each time..................So I couldn't find anything. T_T

So does anyone know any good sites to learn 2 gen for the 4x4x4 that's relatively short? I looked on bigcubes.com but it doesn't explain it enough, and Chris Hardwick has like 1 paragraph for each move he does on his page. (too long)
cubeloop.com hasn't made it yet. :o

I don't think you mean 2 gen. I think you mean pairing 2 edges at a time. I used bigcubes.com and it worked for me. The basic concept is that you pair up an edge, and when you fix the centers you pair up another edge. I would just take a look at the videos that Frank has because he explains it better, at least that's what I think.

What about the OLL parity case. I know there is an alg to do that does the OLL and keeps the permutation, but I see the OLL parity before I permute everything, so is there a faster alg?
Also are there algs to do OLL and PLL parity at the same time if I have both?

The only difference between the 2 moves it that instead of doing just the r slice, you do both the r and the R slice. The algorithm would be read in multi-slice notation or (Rr)2 B2 U2 (Ll) etc...

The one when you just use the inner slices only orients the edge, as opposed to the multi-slice one that also applies an F perm to the LL. It's a lot quicker to execute, and works great as long as you do it right after f2l.

For one second I thought this topic was about solving the 4x4 group <R,r,U,u>

I still did not really get the point of the first question but if it has been answered...
