A lot of my friends have seen me solve a 3x3 and now they're all into it. A few of them already know how using beginners methods. I told everyone who wanted a cube to get my $15 by Friday and I'd order them all GuHongs. I'd also be assembling them (which sorta sucks since each piece is assembled and then put together), lubing them with my own Lubix, setting the tensions and stickering them. The DIY kits cost about $11 each. I feel like $4 is a fair price to charge for lubrication and assembly. Especially since each cube will probably take me about an hour to get all together so $4 an hour for labor is fair right?

I thought it was a fair price but I don't want kids to get really involved, check prices and think I conned them.

Yea I could charge twenty but I mean its an $11 cube and although it's currently top of the line in six months it'll more than likely be out-dated. Like if a Dayan Ling-Yun II comes out and fixes the current problems it'd be pretty tank. (Don't flame over this since it's off-topic and won't help anyone) Also there's the whole ethics thing. I'm not looking to make too much money out of this. I'll probably make around 20-25 from assembling and such. If they feel the need to rely on me to be the official "cube maintanence guy" I'll start to make a living of it.

Kinda off topic, but the lingyun is out, and it's on my store.

Do it! Especially if you are doing more than one. $15.00 is a round number and easy to work with. That's not as bad as me selling a used A-core DIY for $15.00. :o

Heh, show them any store in the US that has shipping, and you can easily get $20 out of it. It's $12.75 on speedcube shop, then add in the few bucks for shipping and that's $16. $4 for labor (which minimum wage in Indiana is $7.25 or $7.50 I forget which) and you're already giving them a deal.

$20 is more than worth it in my opinion :P

I have this same cube and price setup on my LubixCube.com website. Great minds think alike!

If there is quite a bit of people who want them and you order from Lightake, you'll get a discount on the kits and make more profit.

Oh I didn't know about lightake I'll give that a look.

Bigbee: I know it's out and I'm purchasing o e for myself when I get my friends their cubes but it has some minor issues. In a few months they'll work out the design flaws and probably introduce a new version that makesthese problems better.

I'm not trying to make a huge profit off of this. Just enough to cover the cost of my 4x4 which I'll easily do. If they want to keep asking me to do things I'll bump up prices. Most of them will probably get a little discouraged once they find out that there's actually some work involved in eating faster but I'll find a few keeps who come to me for helps since I'll always be a few months worth of improvement ahead of them.

My bad on the double post I'm using wifi from Tim Hortons and it got all funky on me

LOL freshcuber please tell me you were eating something when you typed that post! Just show your friends how easy it is to get sub30, which doesn't take much work at all. If they care to improve after that, then at least they've got a great cube to do so :D:D
