  • Like I don't even turn as fast as you do during my 2x2. And your last layer you're turning like just as fast as me. I think we can attribute that to your knowledge of other methods. But long story short your F2L is way behind your LL. This is why I always advise people to work on F2L early and wait to learn tons of algs because then they hit the point where the only way to improve is the hardest, which is F2L.
    Well I think you could get sub 20 with EO practice alone or at least damn close. Definitely.
    Oh jesus that's really long. I'm averaging 15s and 16s of 12 now. I took a year break so I'm getting back my old times. What are you averaging with 5 second EO?
    Wow sorry I completely missed the second part of your question about EO. What do you mean when you say what am I averaging? Averaging specifically for EO or the entire solve? I could do an average of 12 for EO and find out. It would only really mean something if I had no inspection though.
    Well I can extend the 2x2 in whatever grip I want to. Just like doing Fridrich slots on back I can do 2x2x3 like that too. You should be able to do it from all sorts of angles. I actually spent a good deal of time at one point just relearning my solutions from different orientations and now it comes second nature.
    Did you check out the solution? Did it help? I've read through it maybe 5 or 6 times and it all seems to be correct as long as you D' in that 2x2
    Yeah I sent a revision in bold that said D'. I'll check out the 2x2x3 solution now too.
    K It took me like 20 minutes but I think I have a working scramble and solution. Sent it to your inbox as to not clutter that thread.
    Ugh I tried to write notation but I suck at it do you have a facebook or any kind of live chat I'm so bad at writing notation.
    I couldn't really follow what you did there. I definitely agree though you need to work on building those blocks better. Would you like me to show you what I see in the scramble? I see a really quick and simple Fridrich style 2x2 with a CE pair insertion.

    until you have smooth transitions. then practice speeding it up. one step at a time....roux can't be rushed or it will bit you back.
    Cont...

    I was thinking of getting a webcam soon I wouldn't mind showing you some blocks or something in Skype but I honestly don't think it would help as much as you think. Also, I worried about the efficiency of my blocks for a long time but in a speedsolve I tend to choose simplistic blocks that allow for fewer rotations, more finger friendly solutions, and better lookahead. I'm pretty sure EJ does the same. Trust me, my blocks suck. Probably like, 8 moves or some crap.
    Honestly dude, I've tried Petrus tutorials before, but nobody cares. I made a whole website with beginner, intermediate, advanced Petrus stuffz but nobody cared. I've spent countless hours talking with people and helping them to only see them switch to Fridrich once they get ~25 seconds. So as far as video tutorials I'm not going to bother anymore. The world uses Fridrich and I accept that. You've probably seen this but http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FeC3JUbDcL0&feature=channel_video_title is Erik Johnson's blockbuilding walk through thingy. He could show you much more efficient solutions than I ever could anyway. At a glance though your EO seems very long to me. Those time splits don't really mean much to me though because each step blends into each other step. Even if you don't inspect every stage but 2x2 it's still not an accurate representation of how long that stage takes you in an actual solve or how smooth the transition into each step is.
    ya LSE.... that sucks..... you should like....PEW PEW PEW PEW PEW LSE....I can sub-3 LSE only because I can track. so what you can so it work on smooth transitions between sub-steps in LSE. so like. EO (look for UL/UR) then UL UR (predict 4c case) then PE WPEW PEW done. when you get smoother LSE it's faster than PEW! (wait and look) PEW! (wait and look) PEW!.
    @Eric
    Yeah L6E I'm pretty good at it's UL and UR I'm bad at, lol.I'm barely sub-30. I'm still gonna use fridrich as my main method but im saying you should keep doing roux just to keep yourself from being bored of cfop
    your inbox is full: yea it is, i suck at LSE though, i am like barely sub 50 with roux lolol.
