Greetings,

I was wondering what speedcubing method is generally considered to be the fastest, and which ones do record holders use?
And which one in your opinion is the most fun one? :)

Regards, Vedyl

Feliks Zemdegs- CFOP(3x3)
Kevin Hays - CFOP(3x3)
Mats Valk - CFOP(3x3)
Sebastian Weyer - Yau(4x4)

All I know off the top of my head.

I'm assuming you're wondering per event.
2x2- nub, Full EG plus other randomness
3x3- Feliks Zemdegs, CFOP
4x4- Sebastian Weyer, yau
5x5- 7x7- redux is used by most top people.
Skewb- Jonatan Klosko, Sarah intermediate

Excellent, thank you!

This should come with a giant asterisk, so here it is:

*Using these methods will not turn you into a world record holder. It's not the method, it's the work ethic combined with the talent that makes these guys world record holders.

For the sake of completeness.
Fewest Moves - everything possible basically, including NISS and insertions.
Feet - I guess CFOP with low move count.
Megaminx - Blockbuilding / Fridrich
Square-1 - Lars with EP parity afaik
4bld - 5bld and multi: 3style.
