Skewb tutorials (For SPEEDcubing)?

Hey, are there any good skewb tutorials for those who know how to solve it but, want to get faster?

top10 for average is now sub8. I bet sub7 in next 4 weeks

So yeah, it took 5 weeks :3 But top9 was sub7 like 2 weeks ago.

I would say top10 sub6 average by the end of the June/July. Ranzha, Oscar, propably like 4 or 5 people from Poland and some other guys ;)

And propably 4.xx average next month. Actually, I am sure it's gonna happen :)

Jay would've had a sub 6 average if he did me or Feliks' solution to the 5th scramble today.
I had like, 4ish moves to Uperm, Feliks had 4ish moves to Hperm.
I locked up pretty hard on mine, I imagine Jay would at least sub 5 my solution.

I can sub 6 if the scrambles don't suck. If the scrambles are really good, I'll be able to sub 5 too XD

ok, I've seen quite a lot of people doing weird slow stuff for these cases, so I just wanted to throw these out there.

(it's in rubik'skewb notation)

R L R' L' R' y' R' F R
and
R' L' R L R y' L F' L'

For me these are much better than setting up to a Z perm or something. Maybe these algs are common knowledge, but I haven't seen anyone else use them.

I use these!

I'm barely sub 11 now and feel I might hit a barrier here. My first layer is not that efficient but have good control over my sledge and hedge. How do I go about with advanced version of Sarah's method? Or is the intermediate already good enough for sub 6? Sub 10 would be easy here since it is only my second day of practice, but do I need to start advanced to go beyond that?

I use intermediate and I'm almost sub 5, it's definitely not you your method. Sub 10 will come with a couple days of practice. You should learn to make efficient layers and also to turn quickly during them. Other than that, know your OLL cases. Don't stop to pause, learn the rotation/trigger patterns.

Thanks! :) I'll work on it! :)

Is there a way to avoid H perms? I get them very very often.
Also the bad pi cases. Pretty sure they can't be avoided but does everyone do three triggers for the cases and then do L3C like me or is there something else I can do about it?

H perm avoidance is easy. I assume you know what the case looks like (centers on R and L solved).

When you get it, instead of doing whichever trigger, do a y2 and do the trigger. Then y2 and the inverse of that trigger.

For nasty Pi cases, all I can say is just turn fast. I don't know the advanced cases for them yet.
