So I've purchased the Zhanchi recently, and I was wondering? Which is better the Zhanchi, FangShi (V2), or the Gans III? Thanks

Highly subjective, i.e. you will get a million different answers to that question, it's down to how you like your cube to feel.

General consensus is that the zhanchi is the 'best'cube. Period.

Of the other new cubes, i.e. HuanYing, Weilong, SuLong, Gans, Cyoubix cube, ShengShou Aurora, Fangshi, Fangshi v.2, etc., there are very few people who would say any of these is a 'better' cube than a Zhanchi.

There are a couple of notable exceptions - Feliks and Mats both use Weilong now, but there's a cash incentive if they can break the single WR with one, so maybe that's why?

I think this is more a question for a poll than anything else, but if you published it as a poll, I'd expect maybe 60% to say the zhanchi is still the best cube around, perhaps 20-30% would say Weilong, the rest divided. I'd be surprised if ANYONE said the Gans is the best cube around.

A few weeks ago I purchased this cube.
I would say that it feels airy and it must be a lot lighter than most cubes.
The corner cutting is fine. It is a good cube for people who like the guhong as well as the huanying.
Not locked up and popped on me.

Not sure where you've been.. Most seem to have switched to a fangshi or a weilong.

Not sure what your point is here, this is completely irrelevant to the OP's question.

The OP was asking if the new cubes are BETTER than a zhanchi. I said that this is subjective, and that Mats and Faz have switched to Weilongs. Inevitably, lots of cubers will switch as a result.

This does NOT mean the Weilong is a better cube (again, this was the OP's question). Personally, I've switched to a Weilong. Would I say that the Weilong is better than the Zhanchi? No, but I, prefer it. That's a subjective, qualitative judgement, not a statement of fact.

I also suggested that this would be better answered with a poll. Which it would be.

So where have I been? All over the place, playing with my Fangshi and Weilong. However that's largely irrelevant to the larger question of whether these two cubes are inherently superior to the Zhanchi.

True. I missed that. Thank you for giving a straight respond and not exploding at me.

Lol, no problem, you should've seen my original response, it was... how can I put this... less measured! Fortunately it took a while to write on my phone, so I had time to go back and reconsider!!

I switched before both of them, and so did a lot of other people. The weilong is "Better" than the zhanchi, but that doesn't mean people can't get really fast times on both.

Try reading the words in my post?

"a lot of cubers" <> everyone. Nowhere do I say RJ is a sheep, who is incapable of forming opinions of his own. Try not to get upset by generalisations that don't include you, or you'll spend a lot of your life being upset!

Better is a wholly subjective and qualitative term. In YOUR opinion the Weilong is better. And mine, as I clearly state. That doesn't mean it IS better.

Please don't confuse reading errors on your part for writing errors on mine.

Exactly, stop saying "This is BETTER than that, blah blah"

Better is an opinion. I prefer my Zhanchi to my Fangshi right now. Next week I'll probably like the Fangshi more. Maybe someday I'll go back to my Ghost Hand because the feel is "better".
