7x7x7 solve last 4 edges help

V Cube 7 - Requesting help on last two edges.

Hi there - first time poster here. I just got a v-cube 7 for Christmas, been an avid 2x2x2, 3x3x3 and 4x4x4 player and I wanted to try my hand at the 7x7x7. I haven't had any problem until this point. Everything is oriented correctly but I have to swap the center edge pieces. I've combed youtube and I can't seem to find a solid answer. Pictures detail my problem. Thanks!

There are 4 unsolved edge pairs, not two.

Like ^ said, there are 4 unsolved edges. Get that down to 2, and then you can use 5x5 algorithms to solve them by alternating how many layers you use for moves like d and r (you kind of pretend like multiple edge pieces are one in order to replicate a 5x5 if that makes any sense):

That's how I do it anyway; I'm not aware of any 7x7 specific algorithms for this step.

Yes indeed there are four unsolved edges. The top and bottom ones can be solved simply, the algorithm can be found at good old trusty bigcubes.com. You want the "double wing swaps" on the left.

For the pairs on the left and right the inner wings are solved the same way. For the outer wings you will want the "checkerboard" (at the bottom).

Hey,
I learned how to solve 7x7x7 cube from a excellent video of MeMyselfAndPi on youtube, but i stuck in solving the last 4 edges. i just don't know how to continue. i knew how to solve 5x5x5 but i don't remember all the algs, so can you give me please algs to solve the last 4 edges on 7x7x7 cube? include parity and what needed... thanks!:)

You need to be more specific on how you go about solving the inners then the outers. Regardless, I believe that most fast bigcubers go about solving L4E this way. So basically you just need to practise more.

really? i guess i had always assumed that people just solved one edge at a time. Do most people actually solve inners then outers? is there actually an advantage to this, or is it just something people learned and got used to?

L' U2 L' U2 F2 L' F2 R U2 R' U2 L2
For L and R use layers the same distance in, it will swap the top two edge in the R slice you use.
Explained: If you need to swap the right most edges on the top layer, use the second from the left slice for L and second from the right slice for R. There is another method, but this is the best for beginners.

Specifically for L4E, doing one at a time would be very inefficient. You want to approach it like you would approach 4x4 two-at-a-time edges. You don't necessarily need to do inners then outers, but this makes lookahead much easier.
