Hi guys, just received my MF8 Square-1 from lightake.com today (i'm pretty sure it's v1). First turns were absolutely horrible. The 3 layers are soooooo stiff, I can barely turn them. I have a feeling that plastic is being shaved off, thats how tight it is. The turn through the middle (M) is awesome, really smooth. It's just the layers. Is there any way I can fix this?

My puzzle behaved similarly, I put some diff. oil (I guess any lube would work, though) under that little circular groove where all the pieces sit in and I've never had a problem with it since... :)

Lol I need aome diff-oil, been looking for it. Where can I get it? I'm in Australia

I agree, the CubeTwist is much better. I have all the square-1, and IMO Calvin's is the worst. MF8v1 is more stable, sturdier too. And I average 20 seconds with the CubeTwist, and didn't get any pop for weeks. So...
