Hi all, I'm Dino from England.

I'm 34 years young and grew up in London before joining the Army and moving to Salisbury (I live about a mile from Stonehenge for anyone interested in that kind of thing).

I Started cubing to pass the time whilst deployed in Afghanistan back in February and got far more addicted than I had intended! I solve mainly 3x3 and average about 55 secs using CFOP but also solve 2x2 and megaminx in a ridiculously slow time using the beginners method. 4x4 and 5x5 are next on the to do list.

Not sure how fast my old fingers can get but my goal is to get to sub 30 and take it from there.

I've been lurking on the forum for a while but for reasons unknown have abstained from participation. I will, however, endeavour to rectify this.

Welcome! Sub-30 is a nice starting goal (it was mine). Also nice to see another *older* 30+ cuber around, not that we're THAT old... only by comparison. There are some 40+ or 50+ even.

Yeah, I was convinced I'd be satisfied with sub 30, but there's something about my addiction to this cube thing that just won't let me stop. Now I'm well sub-30 and still feel like I have a long way to go, and lots to work on.

Anyhow, welcome fellow UK-based 'mature' cuber! Enjoy the forums, they've helped me no end.

Yeah, I get what you mean; my initial goal was a sub 1 minute average which I achieved a week or so ago and there's no sign of me stopping yet. I also seem to be accruing an unhealthy collection of cubes lol

That's cool, I actually live about 9 miles away in Larkhill, but it's easier to say Salisbury as more people know it.
