Hey, I'm a cuber who recently start around half a month ago. I can constantly average around 14 seconds on a 2x2, but want to get faster. (PB: 8.88 seconds)

Heres some details that may help:

Cube: Jig-A-Loo'd Eastsheen 2x2
Problem: The Jig-A-Loo seemed to wear off, or is it just cause I'm getting used to it? (I lubed it yesterday)
And corner cutting is horrible. Have my eye on the Type C Wittwo V1

Method: Ortega (7 OLLs, 3 PBLs, 1 PLL)
The problem is recognizing the PBLS and PLLs. The OLLs are fine, except I skip over the Pi Case, because the alg is really long. To avoid it, I just do R

The way I recognize my PBLs is I look for bars. If theres 1 bar on the top layer, I face it to me and do the alg R Ui R F2 Ri U Ri.
If theres 1 bar on the bottom layer, I flip it around and do the same alg.
If theres 2 bars on bottom and top, I put them at the back and do R2 U F2 U2 R2 U R2.

I just spend like 2 seconds trying to recognize them.

But the PLL is the real problem. The PLL is only in the case of the whole bottom layer being permutated, so all I have to do is permute the top. Sometimes it works out because I do the algorithim Ri F Ri B2 R Fi Ri B2 R2 when theres 1 bar on the back of the cube (on the top layer).

Sometimes I run into the situation when the bottom layer is permuted, but there are no bars on the top. So I have to do the algorithim to get the bar, then do it again and permute the top layer.

Can you please help? Thank you.

Or just get a Dayan 2x2.

The PLL without a bar is the Y perm. Rotate/turn U layer until there are 2 corners solved and the other corners are 'pointing' towards the top left (if it doesn't work you may need to rotate the cube) then do: F R U' R' U' R U R' F' R U R' U' R' F R F' It is long but just because it's long, it doesn't mean it's hard to learn.
