I usually hit sub 20's but today I was just like "in the zone" and I hit a sub 15! New record! I was like so in it though, like my look ahead was great.. and then sometimes I do bad, like now I am around 20. Does anybody have those times where they are just doing so good and then later on you get bad solves?

tell me about it. one day i do an a012, every single solve is below 20, i break my ao3/5/10/12. gotta change my sigs lol

All the time. On a good day I can get sub-20 averages, but then I'll get days where my brain just doesn't want to work and won't look ahead, my fingers don't do as they're told and I get 30 second solves and end up with a terrible average. If I really want to get in the zone I can do sometimes, but it's never as good as if I'm just having a good day and I'm awake and ready do do awesome (for me) solves.

I need to work on that.. like i was just chillen in drafting i pick up my cube and get 14.07! i was speechless and everything on the was sub 20 no problem, new avg of 12 !

Constantly happens to me. It's good though because it sets a new bar on what you know you are already capable of. You just have to get that look-ahead and turn speed back. And there are practice techniques that can teach that.

I always hit the zone and then I just drop if I take like a 15 second break it's terrible because I will start to get 12's, 13's, 14's, and 15's and then I just got back to sub 18. It sucks because I like it when I'm in the zone.

You shouldn't think that if you do something special, you'll instantly get better times. Just practice, and EVENTUALLY you'll be faster. No secrets, no magical mountains to travel to. If you want to know what to practice, that's fine. Practice memorizing cross completely, executing it smoothly while finding the first pair, and trying to influence/recognize the next step constantly.

That happens to me all the time. For me, I find it's when I'm very relaxed but focused. If I'm tense, stressed, or tired, or my fingers are cold (I live in Canada after all :D), then I find I won't get good times. Sometimes listening to some chill music louder so I can't hear the clicking helps. Last night I got a 12.99 and I was so blown away, it just happened, not lucky or anything. But I was just in the groove!

That totally happens to me the totally describes it ! Yesterday i hot a 14.07 and i was like wtf i was hitting sub 17's easy.. then i went home and went bck to the twenties. Music helps sometimes i like the clicking and sometimes i dont.. and my fingers get frezing in 50 degree weather sometimes i cant cube cus of it!

i thought i was in the zone. then i realized qqtimer scramble was bugged to give easy eo cases becuause i'd have max 3 bad edges and always in the same places lol
