I want sub40!

Video description: "5 edges, 0 corners in place. 2 of those edges were flipped. So it's not über lucky :P This was actually a part of 5 solve avg which was something sub1. Freestyle ftw!"

It is my mother's sewing machine in the background. :P

I'm going to learn 3x3x3 BLD the next days.. can I ask which method that was?

He says it's freestyle on the YouTube description.

Wow, Ville, you're really good. I can't imagine ever moving that fast while solving, so I guess I'll never be that good.

And a 17-second memo!!! You should really consider doing a BLD solve for a regular 3x3x3 competition solve someday. Spend your 15 seconds inspection time memorizing, then pull the blindfold on and start the timer. It would be fun to see you get sub-30!

Just practise speedsolving alot. I know it might be boring, but you need fingerspeed to get really fast. Well, that's what I did.
And how long did you think I memorise for sub1 solves? :p

Yeah, I figured that. You're sub-18 average in competition, I'm barely sub-30. That would make a big difference. Well, I am working on it now, and I am improving some.

Actually, that's sort of what I thought. 17 seconds is probably good for you, though, which is why you got 42 seconds total. I bet you're more like 20 or 25 normally. But I'm guessing that with a little more work you can really get down to where you can memorize safely in 15 seconds, which is why I suggested the regular 3x3x3 BLD solve in competition.

By the way, my memorization is typically between 45 seconds and a minute. So yeah, I have a lot of improvement possible there too.

FAST!!!! :O

Wow, I just suck, I'm faster at 2H but is like WAYYY slower on BLD, lol.

Gotta practice again!

Super Ville! Your fingertricks reminds me of Matyas. :)

I hope nothing else in that solve reminds you of him. xD

And thank you all for these comments. The solve was a 7 look/step solve, 2-cycle + 6-cycle for corners, 7-cycle for edges and I had to flip 2 edges. I was able to do 1 move setup into (L'BLB')*3 to take care of the 2-cycle, which really helped.
There's still lots of room for improvement. :)
