Hi!

Im pretty new at cubing and I going to ask some questions.
but at first i going to tell you some thing about me and cubing.
I start whit cubing for like 3-4 weeks ago when i find a rubik's cube that I've had since I was a child, and i wanted to learn to solve it so i looked on some videos on youtube and after some days u could solve it. when i first had learned to solve it, it took about 3,5 to 4,5 minutes but today i have a average on about 1 minute and 10 sekunds. i solving the cube whit a beginner method and some shortcuts, and for 2 days ago i start to training on Fridrich F2L.

Okey now to the questions:

-How long did it takes for you to learn Fridrich F2L good?
-How long did it takes to leran OLL/PLL?
-How long did it takes to learn to solve the cube under 30 sekunds?
-And about how mutch did you training at day?

I have searched on this thing abowe but i dont have find so mutch.

thanks in advance.

Welcome!
F2L - a day to understand it, maybe 1-2 weeks to be faster with it than beginners method
OLL/PLL - Learn PLL first. That will take less than a month. Start learning full OLL around 20 seconds (I'd say), but you can easily use 2 look up until then (and even past it, but I wouldn't recommend that)
Sub 30 - everyone will advance at different rates. I took about 6 months since I started speedcubing (~1 minute) until I got sub30 with CFOP, but I didn't practice that much. I switched recently to Roux and went from a 2 minute average to ~25 seconds in just a few weeks.
Training times - I practice cubing in general a few hours a day. For 3x3, I practice (on average) about 10 minutes a day. I don't practice 3x3 that often, mostly pyra, bld, and big cubes.

Okey, it sounds like I have a lot of training ahead...

some off-topic:
Now I have a dayan zhanchi on the way home, does it works for a beginner or is it "too good"? or is it just to get used to it?

i think the goal should be...1. solve the cube 2. evolve time by time ... the only competitor during the first weeks/month should be yourself. 3. practice practice practice ... in train ... in airplane on your way to the bus stop ;)

People who tell you that you shouldn't get a zhanchi because you aren't fast enough are stupid. It's fine to get the best cube as soon as you start cubing if you want to.

1. It just take 1 day to understand a basic of it. Then it is depend on how much you practice F2L. For me i took about 1 week to fully master it
2. I learnt PLL first and finished it 2 weeks with 2 look OLL and i took 1 month to learnt the rest of the OLL
3. Under 30 seconds is easy all you need is full PLL , 2 Look OLL and good F2L and keep practicing. I sub 30 in 1 month with just 200 solve a day (That was back to summer last year so i have enough to practice)
4. Nowaday i only practice 1-2 hours but i take a cube with me and solve it when i have a freetimes.
(Sorry for my bad english :p)

Hey, so for F2L, I would just learn the general techniques, and then just practise it by doing solves over and over. I don't mean just sit down and solve, I mean like while your on the bus or train.

OLL and PLL take as long as long to learn as you want. Just go at your own speed and don't start another OLL or PLL before you get comfertable with the one you're learning.

Once again, it takes time. everyone gets there at different times. Took me 2 years, so don't fret.

At first I did a little bit of training a day, but then it got gradually less, while I was still gettiin faster. Now, I barely do 10 solves a day and I'm maintaining sub. 15

Good luck to your and your future cubing.

Thanks for the help i have get.
But I dont realy anderstand the diffrent name off all the methods.
Is 4LLL/4 look last layer the same thing as 2 look OLL?
And CFOP what is that? Like I understand it its a method for the whole cube?

2 look OLL is 2/4 steps of the last layer. The other two steps consist of the 2 look PLL.

So basically the 4LLL consists of 2 look OLL and 2 look PLL - thus making it 4 steps.

Full CFOP is the method that consists of doing the F2L making edge/corner pairs, orienting the last layer in one look, and then permutating the lsat layer in another look.

PLL: Two weeks tops. I learned about 2-3 a day.
OLL: 5 years and I only know about 20/57.
F2L: A couple days to understand, a few months to get decent, about a year to get good. After that, I stopped progressing. I average around 30-35.
Training: When I was learning and trying to get better, I'd say 4-6hrs a day. After I learned and got to the point I'm at, maybe 30mins a day.

Also, the Zhanchi is amazing.

I learned all my early algs in the summer, so basically all I did was cube from July to September.

PLL: Probably 4 days
OLL: 2 Weeks-ish
F2L: Got decent at it in a month or so
Sub-30: Maybe 2-3 Weeks

And, 4LLL = 4 Look Last Layer = 2 Look OLL + 2 Look PLL
CFOP is the same thing as Fridrich = Cross F2L OLL PLL

Solve the cross, solve the remaining 4 corners and edges in the first two layers simultaneously, Orient the top layer, Permute the top layer.

I may get some flak for saying this, but perhaps instead of CFOP you may consider learning CFCE? I find that I get a lot lower solves using CFCE as opposed to CFOP. Just a suggestion.

4LLL (4 look last layer) is 2-look-PLL and 2-look-OLL. I learned these from monkeydudes tutorials
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-iZL03cLhC0
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nmACMcLvR_w&feature=relmfu

And CFOP, commomly known as Fridrich, stands for Cross, First two layers(f2l), Orientation of Last Layer(OLL), Permutation of Last Layer(PLL)
CFOP is currently the most common speedsolving method. And prepare to be spammed with roux because this is method is becoming more and more popular

I'd advise you try the "big 4" methods: CFOP/fridrich, Petrus, ZZ, and Roux. If none of those suit your style, try something like waterman or columns first. Pick what feels right to you. Remember, methods don't have speeds.

good guy Ickathu

PLLs took me about a month...
OLLs i was learning then lost motivation to keep learning em so i know like 1/2 of them, but then i switched to ZZ and learned COLL, that took like a few months just because i didn't go at a "1 alg per day" pace, it was more of a, learn an alg whenever i felt like it pace.

Everyone should at least try Roux. I don't think its really necessary to look into ZZ/Petrus very much.

pick the method that's the most fun. learning algorithms and understanding the cube should not be a chore. this is a hobby, not an occupation.

pll took me 2 weeks.
coll took me 2 months.
and i still know only 7 olls. (5 of which are specifically colls)

but i still average 13-14.
