[Unofficial] Joe Richards 5/5 multibld 'sub9' apparently

I don't see why he sped up the video on a sub-9 solve. That is plenty short to put on youtube for a 5/5 attempt. I speed up my videos, but thats because no one wants to watch 40 minutes of me blindsolving.

You are joking right? listen to the tone of his voice. The way he claims the sub 9 before checking all the cubes. The way he looks at the camera as he says yes. The way he puts down the last cube, and then goes through something in his head for like 5 seconds. And again, the dang tone in his voice, its blatant.

No I'm not joking. People have different voices and in general different behavior (compare the reactions of Aron and Dennis, for example). Nothing wrong here. Nothing wrong him thinking he succeeded before fully checking, either (especially on a video that he can simply not publish in case he's wrong). No idea why you have a problem with the last cube and last thinking, either. So... sorry, you have nothing. I suspect you became convinced of faking for other reasons, and now you're trying to be a smart-ass by pretending to see something that's not there when really you're just retro-actively applying your conviction. The exact same behavior, done by a cuber well-known to be capable of this, wouldn't cause any of you to claim there's something wrong with it.

This.

He could have done a much better job faking, like actually using a BLD method and prememoing.

I see your point. Do you think the video is a legitimate, valid attempt? Based off what others have said above, there is good reason to think the video is fake.

As for the acting, don't forget the way he speeds through the entire execution of a cube without any pauses, and then takes ages to think about the last step (PLL?), on every cube. Not something you see often in BLD solves.

I don't see that pause in the first cube, but about the others I agree. Both pause and apparent PLL *could* be caused by the method, though, it's too fast for me to tell exactly what he's doing and I also can't read minds. But yeah, that's good objective reasoning (and I note you weren't and aren't among those I criticized :)).

And to clarify - I'm not saying it's not fake (I suspect it is, based on the actual reasons provided and the fact that some people seem to know more about him). I'm just saying that claims like "embarrassingly obvious fake reaction" are ********.

I have no premeditation to call hax, I have never heard of this kid before or know anything about him. But, I can assure you that from my intuition, nothing more, I call this video fake, he is clearly acting. It is very very obvious just from his manorisms. Also, you mad?
