I'm not sure it is locking up (other than maybe once in the 11s solve) I think what you're seeing is a face that isn't currently being turned just sitting slightly off center. To keep an average move count of 8 tps he can't be having many lockups.

Maybe there's a few faces of the cube that are tighter than the others.. I just notice that looseness and ''clickyness'' of the cube and it feels as if it wasn't properly adjusted. Just my humble opinion. However, most times it doesn't matter how well adjusted the cube is to get good times.

I've tried Feliks' cube back in WC (it was a ZhanChi, not this though) and it didn't feel exceptionally awesome. I've tried many fast people's cubes and they all generally felt much better.

In an avg. of 5 you take away the fastest and the slowest times.
2,4,6,8,10=4+6+8/3= 6 avg.
2,4,6,8,60= 4+6+8/3= 6 avg.
