Yeah. Way better.

And they don't even need lubing.
Without going into a big "which is better" discussion I would like to point out that kids prefer Eastsheen, grown-ups prefer Rubiks. Both have their advantages and both can get you great times.

And Eastsheens do like to be lubed as well

I don't know why Arnaud continually insists on calling me a kid. He's the kid. :)

I love Eastsheens and don't particularly like Rubiks and I'm 46 years old. Rubiks feel too big and bulky for me. And I'm not very fast, so having a cube that turns when you barely even breathe on it helps me a lot.

That being said, I do still prefer my V-Cube 5x5x5s to my Eastsheen 5x5x5s.

I think the reason for that is that Rubik's stopped making their good 4x4s, and started making retooled 4x4s. As you probably know these 4x4s are not as good as the older ones. So, the newer people(kids) are getting Eastsheens.

agreed. i have used an older rubik's that i liked very much, it turned as easily as an ES, but still had the flexibility of a Rubik's. all other rubik's brands i have used kind of suck. i think ES can be depended on to be a good cube no matter what you buy, but rubik's brands can go either way.

@the creator of this thread:
branch out. your 3x3 times will actually improve. my best 3x3 avg was stuck at just under 22 seconds, and then i did nothing but 2x2, 4x4, and a touch of megaminx and clock for almost two months. 3 days after returning to 3x3 i got a 19.94 avg of 5 and a 20.48 avg of 12. its like cubing cross-training.
