Adding stickers to stickerless Guhong?

thats for me too, the plasic on the stickerless guhong seems more....dunno how to say it.... flat? and maybe the lack of stickers play some role in the weigth (although they dont weigth that much >.<)

Oops, I forgot to check back on this. >< Haha.

Thanks for the help everyone, I think I will just end up buying a brand new one.
And on the idea that the stickerless is lighter, from what I've seen from taking mine apart, the pieces are incredibly thin and hollow. It seems like the core is 80% of the weight! But obviously I don't have a stickered one to compare it, so I can't say that that is the reason for sure.

Not sure if this has been brought up before, are stickerless guhongs legal in BLD solves?

I keep thinking the same thing. I don't see any reason it shouldn't be, but it looks like dumb rules are still rules. >.>

Well someone once posted that they use crappier plastic for black cubes because nobody will notice anyway, so maybe that's why stickerless is better.

never heard of that, guess I'll buy another guhong to check :3

lol. But what if you want the coloured pieces?

if you want the colored pieces, then why are you buying a black guhong? and if you paint the insides theres a risk that the performance of the cube will drop as hell, why not buy a white guhong and paint the outsides? it will eventually chip off, but hey! lets paint it again then

what if you bought a cube from someone, say a dayan guhong v2, and the sticker wore off. can i still use it to compete?

If you're talking about the logo wearing off, then yes, it's still competition legal.
WCA Regulations said:
Cube puzzles must have at most one logo. For Rubik's Cube or bigger cube puzzles the logo must be placed on one of the centre pieces.
Either only one logo, or none, it fascinating how many people that understands it wrong, me included when I was new. :P

I find it extremely amusing to see how many people *– including myself *– have problems understanding (3l) of the WCA regulations. :p

But I disgress. If a cube is banned, it is banned. Not matter in which way(s) you modify it. It still is banned.

The WCA ban on stickerless cubes is in my honest opinion stupid. During a speedsolve there is no way you have time to look at ~3mm of colour, which in most cases blends in with the background.
