Adding core magnets to the GTS3M

Hey, just wondering, I wanted to buy a gts3m, Then I found a video on youtube about core modding a gts3m and it worked because there's a dedicated slot in the corner feet that made the cube easier to add a ballcore. I've also found on this forum that some people has also done the same thing. But on a few people's GTS3Ms, the corner feet magnet slots were unavailable, is it because the cubes with the corner feet magnet slots are the newer batch of GTS3m, or another version of the cube? If anyone could help, it would be appreciated, Thanks!

The GTS3M is one of my favorite feeling cubes to this day.
