Maintenance of cubes before a competition....

I will be going to my first competition in about a months time and had a few questions concerning the maintenance of my cubes.

Was wondering if people usually take their cubes apart and lubetension them before going and how long before? I'm thinking of relubing/tensioning mine about a week before the tournament. But I'm a bit weary that I'll mess up the tensioning. I've seen many videos concerning this but feel I have not mastered it.

I'm not the quickest cuber so it'll probably won't make a difference but I want to have fun and having a good cube wouldn't hurt.

If your cubes feel fine now and keeps feeling fine, it'll probably be fine. Of course, I'm not an experienced cuber by any means.

Usually about 10-14 days before, lube and tension the best you can so that you get used to the feel.

the only thing i do is lubing it a day before the comp, lube does not stay long in my cubes >.>, they will wear off in 50 solves or so :/

Then you're probably using a bad lubricant or just not doing it right. The is really no need to re-lube it if it already feels smooth enough.
