Hey, this made it onto failblog.

lolol

"Not so amazing. He didn’t pull the blindfold down all the way and the chick he flirted with held the paper so he could still see the cube."

"There is a pattern to solve a rubics cube. We learned how to do in our 9th grade math class many years ago. There is nothing to it. I’ve done it in under 20 seconds with a little key chain rubics cube. If I did it any faster the thing flew apart. I watched this guy do it and he was using the pattern. Once you memorized the moves you can do it in a blacked out room with one hand tied behind your back. There is nothing amazing about it. The only amazing thing was I picked one up 30 years later and still remembered how to solve it."

Google: “Rubik’s Cube algorithm” and suddenly this video isn’t as amazing as you thought. The algorithm works no matter what positions the colors are in so the studying of the cube, the blindfold, and the paper all have nothing to do with him solving or not solving this. It’s called muscle memory and literally anyone without a physical or mental handicap is capable of doing this with enough practice.

I don't want to live on this planet any more.

I should hope this is not a new revelation.

For srs though, cubing is in such an awful position for growth. People either consider it a one-trick pony or impossible, when in reality it is neither. It makes me so mad that people like that are creating information that other *****s will go and reproduce, especially given the way they talk about it as though they know everything there is to learn...

Why would he try to impress people with lies about how unimpressive it is :S

OnT: I must say, thank you Marcell. It was this video that got me motivated to finally try out BLD seriously, and not give up after half a tutorial. Said and done, altough my record is about 6:40 slower than yours :p

Wow this is amazing! its slightly slower then my PB single time! This is incredible and has inspired me to learn how to solve blind. I wonder how much lower this record can go?
