Hi ! im new in speedcubing and im using roux method ...my timing is around sub 1......i wish to know whether how i cn solve my cube faster

Usually, sub 30 will just come with practice... Even sub 20. When you average around one minute, that usually means that you're just starting to get used to the method, and obviously there are shortcuts and tricks that you will learn yourself and develop as you practice more... Also, a 1 minute solver doesn't usually have good lookahead, which is another thing that will improve with time. It shouldn't be very long before you're sub 30, you just have to be patient and continue practicing. Just try to avoid starting bad habits while your times are this slow. I used layer by layer solving until I was sub 30, and then when I decided it was finally time to move onto F2L, it really killed my times until I got used to it.

Like Vinny just said a few minutes ago, just practice a lot. You're not going to get to 30 seconds in a week, so you have to be patient. As a general rule, the more you practice, the more you will improve. Also, practice trying to lookahead. I'm not sure if you know exactly what that is if you are new to cubing, but there are many discussions on this site about it that you should try looking at. Basically, slow down your tps (turns per second) while doing practice solves, and focus on trying to look ahead to the next move you will have to do. I know that this might sound weird, that slowing down will help you get faster, and I was skeptical at first too, but it really helps a lot. I definitely improved my times when I started slowing down to look ahead. This is because you end up spending less time between moves just sitting there looking for the next move.
So, basically, practice a lot, and try to look ahead. Also, if you feel up to it, try to memorize all of the cll algs, but don't feel that you have to do this. The most important thing is practice.

Hello and welcome.

Yes, aside from a decent cube, I'm afraid a lot of practice and a lot of effort are the only things that will get you to sub-30, there are no fast track ways of doing it.

Practice speaks for itself, as for effort, well pretty much everything falls under here. Everything from learning algorithms, finger tricks and new methods and the like all takes effort and time.

oh yeah, and when you are solving, the worst thing you can do is look at the clock, so don't :-) Just pay attention to the cube.

Try practicing without timing yourself for a while. This will allow you to weed out the things that are slowing you down and work on them, rather than worrying about how fast you're finishing the entire solve. Do slow, walkthrough solves to try and realize more efficient moves, and after a while of doing this, you'll start to recognize these cases faster for when you go back to timing your solves. You'll spend less time trying to figure out what you have to do next, and instantly be able to do it and look for what's next.

There are First 2 Blocks and Last Six Edges competitions in the forum competitions, so I suggest you check them out. I use CFOP/Fridrich, so I don't do them, but check them out anyway.
