[Unofficial] Andrew Brown 6.27 OH single

His 11 was lucky (I think it was either a PLL or LL skip).

I average about 28 for OH and even I can get to OLL (or even PLL) at 12 seconds sometimes.

The solver is Andrew Brown, but his WCA ID is John Brechon, yet they both look the same. Doesn't this look weird to anyone else?

I saw this last night before this thread came up. It's the most obvious fake solve ever.

If he had already been OH solving then he would be warmed up (enough to get the 11.xx single I remember him having on the computer screen)

He wouldn't have needd that hand warming up act.

He lied about his "UWR" ao5 and he lied about this. It's just pathetic.

Brest, your reconstruction has multiple errors.
Not trying to be mean, trying to help.
Wow, true that. Although the alg.garron link was correct, what I posted on the forum was not. I must've failed at Ctrl+C/Ctrl+V...
I blame the size of the holiday meals!

His entire solve was practically <R,U,D>. (He solved it with <R,U,z> but that's the same thing). He doesn't use ZZ so that makes it suspicious, too.
Also, his "ZBLL" recognition was really weird; from the angle that he got to LL with, he could have just done a normal sune (RUR'URU2R') but instead he did a U' without hesitating at all, just as if he already knew that the antisune (R'U2RUR'UR) would solve it. I.e.: no recog.
And I agree, the setup/warmup/reaction do look fake. I don't want to accuse anyone of cheating but it just looks too obvious.

Btw, "He has an 11.81 official single" is not a valid argument. I have two sub-13 OH singles in competition and while he seems to get sub-9 solves very frequently, I haven't even gotten a sub-10 at home. (He admittedly is much faster than me in general but come on... 6.27?)
My advice: Stop making videos unless they are official solves and prove that your claims are legit by getting fast comp times as opposed to fishy homevideos.

I actually find it really funny to watch, as it seems like he wants us to think it is fake. Which it obviously is. It is very unlikely that he gets such a lucky solve just afterwards the warming up (unless he warms up that long for every solve, which nobody does).
If I would have a solve twice as fast as my competition PB, I would be sitting silently, watching the timer in amazement for half an hour. His reaction is very odd. :D

This worries me... Should I ever become really good at something and get a really fast time on video, I'm afraid people will call me a fake because I don't react. >__> I might say "That was nice" or "Holy sh*t" very calmly but I just don't react. xD

Even though this was nice to watch I'm sorry to say I don't believe this is real. My evidence is scattered all around the thread. :p

We don't call aronp fake because he doesn't react :) His solves are obviously correct because he has done similar performances in competition.

I think same as you that this solve is faked, but.. I just want him to do sub10 or sub9 on competition, it would be nice to prove that it's real :)
